If you received the Error: Error Opening File, then there are several steps that need to be done to get it working again. The good news is that it's fixable, and 95% of the time without sending the tuner back to MPT or SCT.
Here are the Steps, but you are probably better off Just Calling SCT Tech Support for this one so I'm not going to go too much into detail on the steps. Their phone number is 866-297-6298. Just tell them you are a customer of More Power Mike and they will help you out. If you or SCT needs anything from MPT, just let me know.
- Dump the Stock File off the Tuner.
If you receive an error, you will need to press CTRL + ALT + S to Force a Save of the Stock Section. - You will also need to Format the Tuner.
- Then Update the Firmware
- Then re-load the Full Tune Revision (if It's a Pre-Loaded Tuner)
- Re-Load your Custom Tunes
- Load a Recovery Stock File, (SCT will make this for you)
- Return the Vehicle to Stock using the Recovery Stock File
- Re-Install Your MPT Custom Tune
