If you plugged in your X3/SF3/Livewire Tuner before you installed the software, you may need to manually install the drivers. A sign of this is if you get Errors coming up when trying to use the functions of the X3/Livewire Updater. Examples of the Errors are: “Failed to Write Data” "Connect Livewire" or others. If so, this is how you fix it:
- Plug in the Tuner.
- Click on Start/
- Then Right Click on My Computer/
- Then Hit Properties/
- When the System Properties Window Opens Up Click on the Hardware Tab/
- Then Click on the Device Manager Button.
- Within the Device Manager list, we are looking for an item with a Yellow Exclamation Mark. It may say LIVEWIRE, UPGRADE LOADER, UNKNOWN DEVICE or others.
- Right click on the item that has the Yellow Mark on it, and then click on Update Driver.
- This will open the FOUND NEW HARDWARE WIZARD. Let it search automatically and install the drivers.
- NOTE: This will only work if the software has been installed, if you have not installed the software yet. Do it by going to the Downloads page.
