If you've ordered an MPT Custom Tune, then I've likely asked you to do some Data Logging. This is the routine procedure to get your Tune Edited exactly to your Vehicle. It's a beautiful thing the capabilities that we have with email and datalogging. So check out the section below for your tuner, you'll also find out how to View them In Livelink.

FOR X3 - 3000, SF3 3015
  • Plug in the X3/SF3 to the vehicles OBD2 port.
  • Scroll down to Data Logging, Press Select.
  • Then Scroll down to Setup Data Log, Press Select. Pick Diesel or Gas, then press select.
  • You are now ready to pick the pids.
  • Select them by highlighting them and then pressing select. You’ll notice that an Arrow will show next to the PID once selected.
  • You can select up to 20 Pids. NOTE: Default parameters are generated from a generic list of readable PCM parameters. It is possible that some pids shown will not be log able on your particular vehicle.
  • Press Cancel to Exit from the list of Pids.
  • This will bring you to a Save Data Configuration Menu.
  • Select – Save OK, Left – Back, Cancel – Exit
  • Start Data Logging
  • Select – OK, Cancel – Exit
  • A Message will display stating to make sure the vehicle is running, press Select to Start Recording.
  • Once The Log has started, you can press LEFT/RIGHT arrows to view additional PIDS.
  • Select will Stop Recording.
  • Cancel will Exit the Log.
  • HOW TO VIEW IT ON THE COMPUTER
  • You can Review this Log using a Computer with Livelink 4.24 or greater installed.
  • Once Livelink is installed and open.
  • Then press: File/ Import Data log file from X3/livewire.
  • A pop up box appears, Select Datalog0.dat from the list, then Press Ok.
  • This will open and display the saved datalog.

FOR THE LIVEWIRE 9600, 9621, 9623, 9625:
  • Scroll to the Performance Data (Guage Icon) and Press the Wheel.
  • Scroll to the Performance Monitor (Guage Icon) and Press the Wheel.
  • Scroll to Setup Monitor and Press the Wheel.
  • Setup Config Analog No/Yes (If yes, prompt for which one will pop up.) Select Diesel or Gas.
  • You can then select your Pids. You can select up to 6 pids. Press the wheel to select the pid, you will notice a Check Mark Next to the Selected Pid.
  • Escape to Save.
  • Press the Wheel to Continue.
  • Start Monitor. (Start Engine/Press the Wheel)
  • You can Rotate the Pids Display/Order by turning the Wheel.
  • Press Escape to Cancel out of the Data logging menu.
  • !!!GOOD STUFF TO KNOW!!!
  • You can change the Decimal Points that are Monitored in the Data View Format section within Performance Monitor.
  • T: in the Data log refers to the Time Stamp and time that has passed.
  • If you Plan on Reviewing the Log later, Review Log must be set to Yes. This is found within the Performance Monitor section.
  • HOW TO VIEW IT ON THE COMPUTER
  • You can Review this Log using a Computer with Livelink 4.24 or greater installed.
  • Once Livelink is installed and open.
  • Then press: File/ Import Data log file from X3/livewire.
  • A pop up box appears, Select the Datalog# File that applies from the list, then Press Ok.
  • This will open and display the saved datalog.
