The X2 9400, SF 9415, DCX2 9550, and the GM X2 9500 all use the same software to update their firmware. They use Live Update 2. Below are instructions on how to update the firmware on these tuners.
INSTALL THE SOFTWARE
- With the Tuner unplugged, install Live Update 2.
This can be done, by clicking here: Live Update 2 or by going to our Downloads Page. - Run it and install it, this will install the drivers, click next, next, next until you get to Finish. Make sure not to get it mixed up with Live Load 3. They sound very similiar so this mistake is pretty common.
- The firmware for your Device is located on the Downloads page that applies to it. Go there, find it and save it to your computer.
- Once saved open the Live Update Program.
- This can be done by Clicking on Start / Then All Programs / Then SCT / Then Live Update.
- Once open click on BROWSE and located the Firmware File that you saved.
- Open it and that click on the OK button.
- This will begin to Update the firmware.
- NOTE: It's very important to not unplug or even touch the devices while their firmware is being updated.
