To Load a Recovery Stock File onto the X3/SF3/Livewire

Directions: With the X3/SF3/LW Unplugged. Download and Install this program. Once installed, there will be an Icon for the X3 LW Updater on you desktop.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR X3 & SF3's Sold Prior to July 25th, 2008: SCT has recently updated the firmware for all X3 & SF3 devices. These devices now have different firmware that will effect all future updates for your device. X3 devices part #3000 sold after July 25th, 2008 will now only be used for custom tuning and will no longer contain pre-loaded tunes. The SF3 device part #3015 will hold 3 custom tunes and will ship with pre-loaded tunes as in the past. If you have purchased an X3 device part #3000 or SF3 device part #3015 prior to July 25th, 2008, your device is now considered an SF3 device part #3015, even though the device stickers may state it is a part #3000. When updating your device with any future firmware or tune revisions, you must use the SF3 part #3015 device updates or you will receive an error when updating the device. Devices sold after July 25th, 2008 should use the matching firmware for the part number on the device sticker.


	OLD SF3 Firmware, meaning for SF3's that the Serial Number does NOT start with "XP". IMPORTANT READ THIS: This firmware is used for all SF3 tuners, as well as all X3 Tuners sold before July 25th, 2008. NEED HELP?! For help on everything you might need help on, visit our Help and How To's Page.

	SF3 Tune Revision Version 1.1.0 - UPDATE VERSION - FOR ROUTINE UPDATES IMPORTANT READ THIS: Use this Update Version to Update the Tune Revision of the Device. This is necessary when Ford comes out with a Flash of the PCM that is newer than the flash that is on the tuner. You will receive a Notice when trying to flash the vehicle that Your PCM is Un-Supported; that is when you want to update the Tune Revision. Save this file to your computer, preferably desktop to find it easier. You will be using the X3/LW Updater to open this file, do not try to just click on it and open it. NOTE: Unless told so, the update did not Change your Existing Tune and it is not necessary to update.

	SF3 Tune Revision Version 1.1.0 - FULL VERSION - ONLY TO BE USED AFTER FORMATTING IMPORTANT READ THIS: If your X3/SF3 was receiving an Error you may have been told to format it, if so this is the FULL Tune Revision that you will be loading back onto it. Save this file to your computer, preferably desktop to find it easier. You will be using the X3/LW Updater to open this file, do not try to just click on it and open it.
