What is an MPT Tune and why do I need one?

I'm not good with computers... How does the process work? How do I get my MPT tunes?

Step 1 is to decide how many MPT tunes you want and make your purchase. ***Do not move on to Step 2 until you have received your BDX in the mail***
Step 2 is fill out the MPT tune form, link will be in your order confirmation email. It is here as well: MPT Tune Form
Step 3 is receive your tunes via email. MPT will build the tunes per your request on the tune form. They are delivered via email along with important info on how to load and use them.

It's just that easy, any questions don't hesitate to give us a call or shoot us an email. If you still end up lost, we can use our team viewer remote tech support to help you every step of the way.

Please note: It is More Power Tuning's (MPT) policy not to manufacture, offer for sale, sell, convey, or otherwise transfer any product, including Handheld Devices, Pre-Loaded Tunes, or Calibrations that contain features to bypass, defeat or render inoperative the following: EGR, Rear Oxygen Sensors, SCR, DPF, NAC, DOC, or any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) associated with these emission controls. Products/Calibrations shall retain the full operation and functionality of the On Board Diagnostic System (OBD), will continue to satisfy emissions requirements, such as meeting standards within useful life or maintaining emissions performance outside useful life. MPT does not support modifications that remove or alter the emissions system of the vehicle. MPT will not shut off check engine lights caused by non-emissions compliant parts installed.

MPT????????

Great tune for my 3.7. Went with the 87 oct as I trip around the pacific west coast often and I can tell you u can see and hear/feel the difference from stock tune. Full bolt on and this car flys quicker than it did before. Same push on the pedal gets me to 60 when it woulda got me to 4550. Although gas is not 30 mpg ,we are still only using 87 so we canâ€™t hope for more. Great customer service from the experts in Florida canâ€™t wait till I data log for an update/new upgrade in the near future once it stops getting wet

AWESOME

I can definitely say I was iffy on tuning because we can all agree the price is heavy on the wallets but I WONT regret it! I just put down a 91 octane tune into my 2012 3.7 stang and it hauled a** on the highway! I can feel more power on each shift and the wheels definitely push more. If youâ€™re looking to get some serious power with a tuner Iâ€™d definitely suggest this!

You cannot go wrong with MPT, but read on if you so desire. I did a lot of research before I went with MPT. To be honest most of the reviews and Videos were â€œSeat of the Pantsâ€ reviews. Not too much to back up any real performance statistics. Not to be sarcastic, but most of the comments and questions reflected the fact that a lot of people had very little technical knowledge or mechanical experience. Hence, my hesitation to take any reviews of any brand tuner/tunes with any sense of confidence. So I compiled a list of questions about the tuner and tunes and called MPT directly. Spent about 20 minutes on the phone and we figured out what was the best way to go for my particular application. These guys have their act together, no doubt. Their customer service is beyond excellent and I was impressed with their product knowledge. The MPT tunes I purchased did what was promised. The car is actually fun to drive now. I am more than satisfied with MPT.

Q: Hi guys, what's the difference between the SCT X4 and the SCT BDX. I'm looking to order one for a Mustang 14' V6, but i wanna know which one is better and the differences

A: -X4 7015- SCT's most popular tuner. Works with the most vehicles and is generally updated by SCT first. More of your standard tuner. It doesn't have the same level of display as the Livewire TS, as it is more for plugging it in, doing what you need to do with it, and then putting it away for safekeeping. Also, less expensive than the Livewire TS. However, still everything needs to run through a Windows computer. Can store up to 10 tunes on it.

??-BDX 40490- SCT's newest tuner. Very similar to the X4 in a lot of ways, including price. However, it doesn't work on the same amount of vehicles. On the plus side, it is less computer dependent. Tunes can be sent to it directly via wifi and the cloud and it can be updated via wifi. Can store up to 10 tunes as well.

Q: Hi, I just need to clarify if this handheld that you tune the 2014 3.7 V6 Mustang with is either the 40490 or the 40470 BDX Tuner, I’ve seen both numbers and I’m unsure which is the proper for this application. Furthermore, will any BDX work? Or is a SCT brand specifically required? Thank you in advance!

A: This listing is for the SCT BDX 40490. You can use this one or the Bully Dog version with our tuning. The Bully Dog BDX is the only Bully Dog tuner we work with.

Q: I want to know if you guys keep the O2 sensors on with your tunes? I have to pass emissions and I'm already dealing with fuel rich code. I was hoping that a tune might be what it needs.

A: MPT does not circumvent or remove any O2 sensor functionality. Full functionality of all four oxygen sensors will be retained.
