AEM engineers their intake systems to produce higher horsepower and torque gains, with the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Mustang 3.7L V6, you will see an improvement of up to 6.0HP at 6500 RPM per AEM's dyno sheet. This intake is designed as a cold air kit, which means they have placed it accordingly to receive the coolest air-charge possible in all conditions by using optimal placement, as well as a partially enclosed airbox that gets air fed to it from right in front of the car. AEM intakes include their "Dryflow" line of air filters which are synthetic and washable for reusability and easy maintenance. These filters are conical to drive maximum air flow into the intake tract. The aluminum intake tube is mandrel bent to allow the lowest possible intake air temperature, and AEM keeps it consistent by including high-quality hardware for installation as well.
