aFe Control takes great pride in releasing the Featherlight Adjustable Street/Track Coilover System for the 2015 and 2016 Mustang (S550) chassis. Ride height and damping are both simple to adjust in this design, letting you fine tune your Mustang's stance and ride quality. Full of different features, the coilovers are precision CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, hard anodized and constructed in aFe's Corona, California production facility. The mono-tube construction utilizes a floating piston to divide the oil and nitrogen gas, making predictable handling and a consistent feel possible. Since the coilovers use double digressive valve technology, the easy touch rotary knob allows you to adjust both compression and rebound in one device. The 24 separate settings on the front and rear shocks allow you to give your Mustang a comfortable street feel, a feel of a car at the track, or somewhere in-between. Simple Ride Height Control: 
Ride height is set through a single simple to use spring perch, giving your Mustang up to 2" of drop.

Additional Tire Clearance:
The 6061-T6 CNC machined TIG welded front upright mounts permit extra tire clearance for custom combinations of wheel and tire. On their development car, aFe has run up to 285/35/20 (11.375 ) front, and 315/30/20 (12.5") rear without modifications.

Adjustable Dampers:
24 distinct clicks of damping adjustment means you will have no trouble finding a setting, which delivers outstanding performance while still remaining comfortable to drive. The adjustment knob is placed conveniently at the bottom of the shock and effects both Rebound and Compression damping. Zero drilling or adapters are needed to reach the adjuster knobs in either the front or rear.

Mustang Specific Valving and Spring Rates:
While other brands are using "One Size fits all shock valving", aFe Control's engineers went abov and beyond that thinking when they developed the coilovers on their in house, 2015-2016 Mustang GT Track car. The valving is engineered to make response better and give your Mustang the feel that it's glued to the road, all while still offering you the ability to softly modify the car for outstanding street manners. The spring rates that are shipped with the coilovers are an excellent choice for both daily drivability and significantly improved handling.

Significantly Lighter:
Featherlight Generation Coilovers are built using lightweight 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum housings. This design decreases the weight by an whopping 5.6 lbs. per front coilover compared to stock and an unbelievable 9.1 lbs. per shock/spring in the rear. That's 29.4 lbs. cut from the weight of your Mustang!

Inverted Shock Design:
The inverted mono-tube design is extremely stiff and is engineered to support high cornering loads without deflection and binding like traditional struts often have. By placing the majority of the weight on the sprung side of the chassis, control arms and outboard components will respond faster and thus, resulting in a suspension system that handles changes in the road quickly and without issue.

Because of the precision machining aircraft-grade aluminum that it is constructed out of and hard anodizing, the front and rear coilover housings offer maximum strength, far superior to the factory shocks. Both computer analysis and real world durability testing on the factory housings found that aFe's new housings are stiffer than the factory parts by a large amount. This great increase in stiffness is just another way that aFe has improved suspension precision under hard cornering! No other coilover is can match it..

CIRC (Concentric Integrated Remote Canister):
The CIRC System great improves the gas volume within the shock for more consistent performance over a wide range of temperatures, giving your Mustang the benefits of an external canister shock without the hassle of mounting the canister or added weight.

True Coilover Conversion:
This is a true coilover conversion for the Mustang, making the most of a lightweight 6061-T6 Aluminum Inverted Mono tube strut and a "true coilover 6061-T6 mono tube rear shock/spring combination". The rear mounting lines up with the OEM shock mounting locations and incorporates CNC machined upper shock mounts and CNC Machined, hardened 17-4 PH stainless cross shafts kept by ¾ mono balls and snap rings.
