The new design is called the 3.0 because it can hold up to 3oz of fluid, a 2oz difference over the original model! Solid and thick billet construction, while still being easy to install with full directions and videos.
The all-new multi-stage filter system is designed to collect the finest of vapors and place them into the easily removable bottom, while permitting clean air to pass through to the intake. JLT makes sure their products are the best by putting it up against the competition and they have the videos to prove it. This kit is specific for the 2011-17 Mustang GT 5.0L V8 on the passenger side. It also includes a factory PCV hose for easy plug and play installation. On top of that, you can get it in either black anodized or clear anodized to fit your vehicle's look.
Most of the oil will come from the passenger side, so if only getting one, this is the one to get!
How does the JLT Oil Separator 3.0 work? During the process of venting crankcase pressure back through your intake track, huge amounts of oil, in the form of vapors, collects in the intake tube, intake manifold runners and even in your gas, diluting it and lowering its octane level. This happens on all engines and is even worse with vehicles that have forced induction (supercharged and turbocharged) due to crankcase pressures being increased. To battle this problem, JLT has developed an oil separator of their own design. Milled from solid billet aluminum, this is one rock solid piece. It has a knurled tank base for easy removal to drain the spent oil and an O-ring seal to prevent any possible leaks. The JLT Oil Separator's filtering consists of a fine mesh stainless steel screen that traps fine oil vapors and releases them once heavy enough to fall. They then pass through a 1/2" thick 1/16th" aluminum honeycomb filter where they grow even larger and finally, fall into the bottom. By the time the oil gets through the filter, it's too heavy to be passed on into the intake. The tank holds 3 oz of fluid, while that may not sound like a lot, you shouldn’t see that much oil in your PCV system. Drain it every 5000-7000 miles and you will never come close to filling it. WHY JLT? Easy plug and play kits Super easy to check and empty Many kits use OEM hoses or come complete with all hoses, custom brackets and hardware Retain stock hose, should you ever need to return to stock. No hoses running all over your engine compartment OEM look and quality perfect size, not too small and not huge by any means
NOTE: Will not fit with Superchargers. See model JLTOSP-F15062RW10 for Supercharged engines.
