The scientific rule of cold air being denser than hot air that is its chief designing feature of the AIRAID Cold Air Dam Intake System. It features blue media and puts forward the possibility of an engine working through cold air being more efficient than a similar unit using hot air. It only employs simple hand tools for a trouble-free installation as it comes included with all the necessary hardware. CAD Intakes have been designed to suit each application and employs extremely simple instructions for operation and installation. It improves the working of the stock intake system and retains the stock filter location by adding a huge air inlet to provide a smooth supply of cold air. Cold Air Dam panels are also kept isolated from the hot engine compartment air and employ use of cold air inlet ducts during additional cold air transition to the filter. They are mounted at the factory air box location and sealed at the base of the hood through blade-style weather stripping. This AIRAID Cold Air Dam Intake System is made to fit FORD EXPEDITION 2007-2014 V8 5.4L, FORD F-150 2009-2010 V8 5.4L and LINCOLN NAVIGATOR 2007-2013 V8 5.4L.
