The AIRAID Cold Air Dam Intake System features black media. It works on the law of cold air being denser than hot air. It puts forward the possibility of an engine working through cold air being more efficient than a similar unit using hot air. It only simple hand tools for a trouble-free installation as it comes included with all the necessary hardware. CAD Intakes have been designed to suit each application and employs extremely simple instructions for operation and installation. It enhances the working of the stock intake system and retaining the stock filter location by adding a huge air inlet to provide a smooth supply of cold air. Cold Air Dam panels using any cold air inlet ducts present in the factory during additional cold air transition to the filter that is used for its functioning. These panels are also kept isolated from the hot engine compartment air. They are sealed at the base of the hood through blade-style weather stripping and are mounted at the factory air box location. These systems are best suitable for FORD F-150 2005-2008 V8 5.4L, FORD F-150 PICKUP 2004-2008 V8 5.4L and LINCOLN MARK LT 2006-2008 V8 5.4L.
