The AIRAID Cold Air Dam Intake System has been modelled on the basic law of cold air being denser than hot air that leads to the possibility that an engine working through cold air will be more productive if compared to a similar unit using hot air. CAD Intakes have been meticulously designed to suit each application and employs extremely simple instructions for operation and installation. It comes included with red media and all the necessary hardware, which needs only simple hand tools for a trouble-free installation. It gives a boost to the stock intake system, while retaining the stock filter location and addition of a huge air inlet ensures a smooth supply of cold air. This process is carried through Cold Air Dam panels that utilize any cold air inlet ducts present in the factory during additional cold air transition to the filter. These panels are mounted at the factory air box location and are kept isolated from the hot engine compartment air. They are sealed at the base of the hood through blade-style weather stripping. This system is perfectly compatible with FORD EXPEDITION 2007-2014 V8 5.4L, FORD F-150 2009-2010 V8 5.4L and LINCOLN NAVIGATOR 2007-2013 V8 5.4L.
