These Caltrac traction bars for the 2011-2014 Ford F150 and Raptor trucks are widely-used for drag racing applications. NOTE: Axle Flip Kit Bracket is required for trucks that have been lowered, in the rear, by installation of an aftermarket kit designed to move the rear axle ABOVE the leaf springs. These kits are commonly referred to as “flip kits”. If your truck is lowered, lifted, or stock height, and the axle is still mounted BELOW the leaf springs, then you DO NOT need the optional bracket.

2014 Roush F150

I have a 2014 Roush F150 stage 2 that is 4WD. The truck had a lot of wheel hop and would spin through first and second gear. I had a tune out on it and the truck was putting out a little over 600 hp at the crank. I added these and I can say they aren't noisey and didn't really add any noticeable stiffness to the ride. This thing definitely doesn't spin in second anymore and hole shots quite well. Very impressed.

Caltracs installed on 2013 RC/SB 5.0

If you plan to do the install your-self in your home garage you will need plenty of high jack stands, a jack, some big sockets and patience. The rear of the truck will need to be jacked up really high to the point where there is no tension on the leaf springs or axle. Once tires are off the ground use the jack stands to support the frame and axle in place. The front part of the gas tank will need to be lowered to gain access to the front drivers side leaf spring bolt as it was inserted from the inside. For the tank to drop, fuel lines will need to be disconnected. Best way to do it is has almost no gas in the tank so it's easy to handle. Next step is to remove your tires/ rims to gain easy accessibility to the entire spring. Next you will see the 4 nuts underneath the axle that are connected to the 2 square u bolts the hold on the leaf spring. Take them off and proceed to the rear and unbolt at the shackle. Once you finagle it out you will need a press to push out the front bushing of the leaf spring. They are easily done with a press but they can also be burnt out but it's a sticky rubber mess. Once out press in the unit from Caltracs and grease them up good. ( now is the perfect time to install lowering shackles to the rear part of the leaf spring if you would like to level out your truck at the same time). I personally bought units from ford racing and got a pair from ground force... Go figure but they came with pinion shims which is nice to reset the pinion angle once lowered.) Now all is left is put it back together with the other supplied Caltracs parts. Also note there will be two alignment nubs that protrude out from the bottom of the leaf spring that fit onto the top of the axle to leave out alinment guess work. Also note to not install the bars until both sides are complete and the truck is on the ground level with normal weight in the bed. Hope this was of help to anyone with questions. The traction a bars work great and seemed to be made of high quality parts.
