The K&N 57-2583 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in Ford F150's with the 3.5L V6 Ecoboost. K&N intakes are engineered to greatly lower intake restriction by smoothing and straightening out air flow. This lets your 3.5L Ecoboost engine take in a greater amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. The more air your truck gets, the more power and acceleration you get throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-2583 air intake comes with a chrome-topped, K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs into the lower air box space. Air is guided through an aerodynamically-engineered intake tube right into the engine’s throttle body for a tried and true power gain. The tube works perfectly with the factory mass air sensor, EVAP tube, and crank case vent hose, making it a direct replacement for the OEM air intake system. The larger-sized, cone-shaped air filter can go for up to 100,000 miles before you will need to service it, depending on what conditions you put it through. This air intake is very simple to install. A screw driver, rachet set, some wrenches, and 90 minutes out of your day is all it takes to improve your 3.5L Ecoboost's air flow.
