Q: hello am very interested in this my question is after you email to me how do I install them to my truck and it is a stock truck will it hurt it in anyway thanks for your time ?

Asked by: joe sandoval - 12/14/2015
A: When your MPT custom tunes are ready, you will receive an email with your tune files attached along with instructions on how to load the files to your SCT device. You'll just need a Windows PC with an internet connection.

All of our tunes are designed to be safe for the vehicle.

Q: If I have this tune downloaded to my f150 is it bad on the tranny to be floorboarding it in high gears? probably a stupid question but i need to find out somehowe

Asked by: Tyler - 3/9/2017
A: Firmer shifts are known to be better for the vehicle and help with longevity, as it means less slippage and thus, lower transmission fluid temperatures.

Q: do i get to pick which custom tunes and are they emailed to me ?

Asked by: danny - 8/12/2015
A: When you purchase custom tunes or claim them with a tuner, you fill out a custom tune form that allows you to not only give us all the required information on your vehicle, but to select what tune setup you would like for your tunes. Depending on your vehicle, you can choose your octane (excludes diesel), engine preference, and transmission preference (Automatics only). The only exception to the engine preference is our ghost cam lope tune, which comes with our performance engine preference.

Then, once they are generated for your vehicle, they will be emailed to you. You simply download them to your Windows-based computer and use the SCT Device Updater to put them onto your programmer.

Q: If I select the "street" option but find that I don't like the way it feels within the 60 day window, am I able to change it to "chill" or would that require a new tune purchase? Thanks!

Asked by: Javi - 6/3/2016
A: Unfortunately, changing the transmission setting is not covered by the 60 days of preference-based changes. To change it form street to chill would require athe building of a new tune completely from scratch, so you would need to purchase a new tune.

However, we do have the ability to soften shifts within the parameters of the selected setting. If 2nd to 3rd shift is too firm, but the rest are fine, we can adjust that for you.

Q: Hi, back in July of 2013 I purchased a sct tuner from you with 3 preloaded tunes for a 2013 ecoboost f150. I'm currently running the 93 octane tune along with a afe cold air intake, cat back 4in afe exhaust, and one step colder plugs gapped down. As a gear head I'm always looking for more and was wondering if the 93 performance race tune would make a difference from what I have now??. I'm also wondering the cost and if I need to fill out the custom tune form. Any info will be helpful. Thanks Dave.

Asked by: Dave - 11/4/2015
A: Power would be the same between 93 Performance Race and 93 Performance Street. The Race tune would feature more aggressive shifts points and line pressure. It would be a separate tune purchase.

Q: I am the happy owner of your 93 street tune. Wondering what the difference would be on the 93 RACE tune?I am interested in trying it for my 11-F150 eco with afe stage 2 intake and gibson cat back duals.

Asked by: charles chambers - 11/1/2015
A: "Street" and "Race" are transmission setups for our tunes. For the most power and performance, you would require our "performance" engine set up. The difference between "Race" and "Street" is how firm the shifts are. "Race" is the most aggressive and "Street" is just a step down from that.

Asked by: Jered Jarvis - 8/10/2021
A: Sorry, but we do not offer tuning with the nGauge on this vehicle. You would need an SCT Tuner.

With revisions, you would purchase a tune update from our site, should the modification require tune changes. There are different levels and pricing for each modification. This tune update purchase will cover all tunes you have on file with us.

Asked by: steve mcphail - 5/10/2021
A: You will select what 3 tunes you would like when submitting the MPT Tune Form, after the pruchase is completed. If you need to run 87 octane, you will need a tune specifically set for it or yopu will have to return to stock. if the tune is set for a higher octane, you cannot run 87 octane with it.

Q: I have a k+n filter charger and a 4" mbrp cat back single exhaust on my 2014 f150. what is the prx tuning i saw on utube is this the best for hp and tq gains?

Asked by: Gaylon E Puraty - 5/14/2021
A: The PR-X tune is just our name for our flat out performance tune. It is the tune to get the best performance out fo the vehicle. There is no additional cost for it. The process to get it is simple. Purchase the number of tunes you'd like from the product page and then, submit an MPT Tune Form to claim the tunes. On that tune form is where you request the PR-X tune. Keep in mind that you will need to select what octane you'd like it set for as well and that towing is not allowed with the PR-X tune.

Q: I bought a tune for a 2012 f150 a while ago but I now have a 2013 f150. Both 3.5 ecoboost. Can I use the same tune in my 2013?

Asked by: DeLeon - 8/5/2021
A: Sorry, but you cannot. Tunes built for a specific vehicle cannot be used on any other vehicle. While the 2012 and 2013 models are very similar, there are differences in the software involved. You would need all-new tunes for your 2013.

Q: 2014 3.5 ecoboost with afe cold air, cat back exhaust, stock CAC, stock throttlebody, 3.55 rear gear, 33 in tires and 91 octane How much hp will one of these tunes get me?

Asked by: Albert Logan - 8/15/2021
A: We have not tested with those modification installed, so we can only provide what a stock vehicle can do. 91 octane is 5-10% less powerful than a 93 tune. Plus, you will be starting off at a lower point, as even with the stock tune installed 93 makes more power than 91. Our 93 PR-X tune makes 100HP to the wheels over stock.

Q: Hello , just curious how recent this tune is. I bought one last year I believe. Just don’t want to buy the same tune Thank you

Asked by: Charles - 11/3/2021
A: We are always doing updates/revisions to our tunes. It isn't on any set schedule, but it happens regularly. If your tunes are over a year old, it would be good to contact us and we can review them to see if there are any updates. Simply email us at [email protected] with your name, serial # from your tuner, and your vehicle type.

Also, keep in mind that you would not purchase this product to get your tunes updated. To get your tunes up to the latest revisions, you would purchase a LVL1 Tune Update.

Q: Is these tunes better then the edge cs2 evolution or is it the same thinking about buying you tuner but already bought the edge one but don't want to get anthor one if I get the same results

Asked by: BDFCW - 4/22/2022
A: More Power Tuning specializes in just a select few vehicles, generally spending a lot more time on the tunes compared to the big companies who are spread more thin across a wider range of vehicles. All MPT tunes are built to order, taking into account your modifications(if any). There will be a tune form after purchase where you'll fill in vehicle info and choose octane, tune type.

When it comes to increasing performance through tuning, we take a long-form approach that works within the framework that Ford has already established and retains or expands upon the safeguards they’ve engineered. Goal is great drivability and response in normal driving conditions while unlocking its maximum potential at wide-open throttle. Not pushing any components beyond what they’re capable of, but rather unlocking what’s already there.
