Best Raptor, F150 and Mustang 3.7 Tuner

Q: Que modificación obtendrá mi sct x4 tuner con 1 mpt tune? Cuál es la diferencia entre 1 mpt tune y upgrade 3 mpt tune ? Gracias

Asked by: Alan - 1/3/2017
A: For each tune you will choose the Octane, Tune Type, Shifting Preferences and Misc Settings.

Higher level octane will provide better performance.

Tune Type Settings for Gas Vehicles:
Performance: Tune focusing on the over-all performance of the vehicle. Resulting in the most power gained.
Economy: Tune focusing on the over-all economy of the vehicle, throttle and fuel controlled for economy purposes.

Shifting Preferences for Automatics:
Race: Firmest shift setting, Race will shift fast and very hard. Most likely chirping the tires. If you think Race might be too firm for your preference, it probably is. Choose Street. If you want the fastest firmest shift possible, choose Race.
Street: Will be decently firm, nice increase over stock. Street is the most popular setting for automatic transmissions.
Chill: Will be slightly firmer than stock but not as aggressive as Street.
Stock: Nothing modified related to shifting firmness or torque reduction.

Q: I want to get a 92 or 91 race tune for my car. Just wanna know how long til I get the emailed tune and if I would see a difference compared to my 91 race tune from bama? car only has CAI and suspension

Asked by: Logan Way - 2/5/2017
A: We offer tunes in 87-89, 91, and 93. So your best option would be to get a 91 octane tune. We do not offer a "race" tune, but our Performance TUne is the most powerful tune we offer.

Tunes can take up to 3 business days from when you make the purchase and submit an MPT Tune Form.

We have not tested a tune from that company, so we cannot tell you the difference between their tune and ours.

Q: Hi. Is tune works only via SCT tuner or would i put in on car with my PC? What means form: Heavy Mod Add-On ? I have CAI, 1:3,55 gears, aftermarket exhaust, racing suspension are those adequate? Cheers

Asked by: Grzegorz - 6/12/2016
A: You'll need an SCT device to load an MPT custom tune to your vehicle.

The Heavy Mod Add-On is not required for a intake, gear change, or exhaust modifications.

Most suspension modifications have no impact on the programming we offer.

Q: Hi!. I was looking to get tuned. I have a 2012 mustang 3.7. I have a ngauge. I’m turboed with dw90 injectors. Trying to get several tunes, wanted to know if there’s a flex fuel tune for e85 and 91. Or it be just 2 separate tunes?

Asked by: Gustavo - 11/2/2020
A: Each octane would be a separate tune. However, you could use both octanes with the 91 PR-X, but using E85 with a tune set for 91 would not result in the same gains as a tune directly set for E85. Also, if the tunes is for E85, it is E85 only.

You can use the LiveLink software to datalog the vehicle no matter what tune is installed to the vehicle LiveLink is software from SCT and used with their devices. It is not specific to just MPT.

Q: What parameters are changed to get the power increase? I'm worried about longevity of my engine running a tune. Are the tunes safe to daily drive on?

Asked by: Matthew - 4/13/2022
A: When it comes to increasing performance through tuning, we take a long-form approach that works within the framework that Ford has already established and retains or expands upon the safeguards they’ve engineered. Goal is great drivability and response in normal driving conditions while unlocking its maximum potential at wide-open throttle. Not pushing any components beyond what they’re capable of, but rather unlocking what’s already there. All MPT tunes are built to order, taking into account your modifications(if any). There will be a tune form after purchase where you'll fill in vehicle info and choose octane, tune type.

Q: Can I get the ghost cam with a 93 performance tune?

Asked by: Landon - 7/10/2022
A: While our tunes include innumerable changes to cam timing and take full advantage of this engine's Ti-VCT, they won't affect how it idles for the sake of sound. Just perfectly calibrated performance.
