A colder 170-degree thermostat will give you the low coolant temps and heat dissipation needed to get the most out of your Ford vehicle.
Part Number: Ratstat-4DV2

Ratstat 170 Performance Thermostat - 4D V2

Fits the following:
  • 2018-2020 F150 2.7L Ecoboost, 2015-2020 F150 3.5L Ecoboost and 2017-2020 Raptor Ecoboost 3.5L

Ratstat 170-degree thermostats will give you the low coolant temperatures and heat dissipation needed to get the most out of your Ford vehicle. Aftermarket radiator or not, this thermostat will help get your Ford to the temperature it needs to be at. No more long waits for your vehicle to warm up or decreased performance in colder environments like you would get with lesser thermostats. Maintaining the balance between a productive level of performance and high flow to the radiator is important for high performance vehicles. A 170-degree opening temperature is how to reach that balance. All it takes is your fan to be properly set. With that, your temperatures in cooler weather will be in the 170's, while just taking it easy down the road. In the 180's, on those hotter days. Vehicles with extra boost or using advanced levels of timing need this to help defend against detonation, while still getting the highest levels of performance possible. Plus, these thermostats come with a 2-year warranty.

NOTE: This 170-degree thermostat is a different size and designed differently than the OEM thermostat. This is due to a different gasket being used in the construction of the thermostat. You must use the O-Ring from the stock unit and place it around the thermostat to fit Ford's new plastic thermostat housing.

To fully take advantage of this upgrade the PCM/ECU will need to be calibrated with an MPT tune. If you already have a tune from MPT, simply submit a new MPT Tune Form telling us what you have installed and your invoice number for the thermostat purchase. Please allow three business days for tunes to be built/updated.
