Stage 1 Clutch Kits feature an integrally molded carbon kevlar-based, high performance organic lining that offers smooth engagement and excellent life. This lining has an integrally bonded steel backing for strength under high clamp loads and temperatures. The hub comes in either Sprung or Rigid and is application dependent. The double sprung hud features spring cover relieves for flexibility and both hubs use heat treated components for strength and durability. This SPEC Stage 1 Clutch kit is designed for bolt-on naturally aspirated and mildly modified forced induction engines. It's best suited to Mustangs that see daily driver duty and occasional track use, since it offers the most friendly pedal feel combined with SPEC's legendary durability. Best for street and many track/off-road applications.

Clutch Kit Notes: The SF37A billet flywheel is configured to accept the original V6 3.7L clutch and the V8 5.0L Coyote GT clutch. The V8 clutch kits cannot be used with the original dual mass flywheel. Purchasing a complete SPEC package will eliminate the possibility of fitment issues that exist with the superseded factory dealer parts. Stages 1-3+ are recommended for street/strip, while Stages 4-5 are race only. These clutch kits have the 6 bolt pressure plate cover pattern for use in cars through 2/2011 production or in a any car with a 6 bolt pressure plate pattern flywheel. All SPEC modular flywheels have a 6,9 and custom 12 bolt pattern for use with a number of pressure plates.
