Incorporates Turbosmart's unique adjustable spring tension feature. Unlike the standard, plastic valves that use un-reinforced rubber diaphragms and are known to crack under increased boost, the new BorgWarner / KKK / Ecoboost Kompact valves use an O-Ring sealed piston which, coupled with their billet aluminum construction give them over 30PSI boost handling capability.
Designed as a bolt-on replacement of the factory valve on all BorgWarner EFR, KKK and Ecoboost turbos, Kompact Dual Port provides better boost response and greater boost handling capability. On our 2014 Fusion Ecoboost 2.0L the blow off valve (bov) install took about 30 minutes. Once you have the car jacked in the air and the front wheel off of the car, the turbo is tucked in there pretty well but valve is relatively easy to get to.
