If you have already installed or are just thinking of upgrading your 1st generation Ford F150 3.5L Ecoboost V6 with a larger turbocharger, water-methanol kit, or nitrous, the Ford 3 BAR MAP sensor is a necessary upgrade to correctly measure boost pressure to make sure your truck runs properly and gets the right performance. By upgrading to the 3 BAR, you will be able to accurately read up to 28.8psi, instead of the standard 21.5psi that the stock 2.5 BAR MAP Sensor caps out at. Installation is not an issue, as the 3 Bar MAP sensor is an OEM Ford Product, meaning it is the same factory part used on 3.5L Ecoboost vehicles.
