Garrett’s 3.5L EcoBoost “Power Max” Bolt-on turbo upgrade is engineered for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 Ford F150 3.5L Ecoboost and 2015, 2016, and 2017 Ford Expedition 3.5L Ecoboost enthusiasts that want increased engine performance, while keeping OEM direct fitment. These are purpose built, stock-appearing and stock-location upgrade turbos designed for long term OE-reliability. The optimized compressor aero provides 22% more flow than OEM, supporting up to 300HP from each turbo.

Q: I was just wondering what is the size of the actual turbo because I would like to get a little more top end out of the truck

A: The compressor has a .56 A/R housing with a 62 trim wheel. The turbine side has a small .45 A/R housing with a largish 80 trim turbine wheel.

The CFD optimized compressor and turbine wheels of the Garrett turbos are larger, lighter and are more efficient, especially at higher than stock boost pressures. The compressor wheel is machined from a forged billet for improved strength which allows for thinner blades for more aerodynamic efficiency. The compressor and turbine housings are also optimized to the wheels. The turbos flow 22% more than stock.

A: Don't need to run a tuner, but on the stock tune you'll see about the same HP. A custom tune will unlock the potential of these turbos.

A: This kit comes with all-new Ford O.E.M gaskets and all the necessary installation hardware for both turbochargers on an Ecoboost engine.

Q: Can I get them cheaper being that I own the garage installing them? Do I absolutely need the 450 LPH in the tank if we’re not looking for more power? We just want to replace the turbos with something upgraded and not as costly as new turbos from ford.....They should perform like the stock turbos did without the requirement of fuel system upgrades or tuning right? 3303182422

A: At the moment we're not in a position to offer a lower price on this item. Fuel pump upgrade is not required if the current pumps are in good shape and you're not planning to increase power output. These are an excellent replacement for the stock units, tuning is not required.

Q: The description says preset wastegates. What psi do they crack open at?

A: Powermax turbo actuators crack open at around 6psi, as for max PSI you'd be looking at about 28psi, at which point you'd be wanting to watch shaft speed. They're rated to flow ~300hp per turbo, the truck's OEM fuel system will run out before the turbos do. And if the fuel system is upgraded, it's likely the stock block fails before the turbos overspin.
